This requires that your Adhar card be registered with the mobile number. During the online process, an OTP will be received on your registered mobile number for Adhar authentication.
Documents required to update Adhar card online
The online Adhar card update facility was discontinued by UIDAI which has now been started again. The required documents for Adhar Card update are as follows:

How to update Adhaar card online?
For any kind of improvement in our Adhar card, we need the necessary documents ( click here ). If you have an eligible document, you can easily make necessary corrections to your Adhar card by sitting at home by the following procedure:
First step: First open the official website of Adhar Card ( Click here )
Second Stage:
- Please enter your Adhar number.
- Enter the given captcha.
- ” Send OTP Click on ‘.
- Enter the six-digit OTP received on the mobile number registered in the Adhar card.

third step :

Fifth step:
At this stage, tick ‘ Yes, I am aware of this ‘ (yes, I am aware of it) to give your final consent to improve Adhar .

Step Six:
In this step, fill the information carefully for the necessary correction to be done in the Adhar card.
And click on ‘ Preview ‘ button
Step Seven:
- Enter the given captcha.
- ” Send OTP Click on ‘.
- You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and enter it.
- Finally, click on ‘Make Payment‘ button and pay the prescribed fee for Adhar Card Reform.
After successfully depositing the Adhar card update fee, you will get a URN number with the help of which you can find out the status of the update.
How often can Adhar data be updated?
According to the new guidelines, some rules have been made to update the Adhar card like
- Name: We can change twice in our entire life.
- Gender: Once in life.
- Date of Birth: Only the unverified date of birth can be changed.
- If the change is minor and includes, you can update your name:
- Spell correction equally
- Sequence change
- Short form in full
- Name change after marriage
